If I'm correct the remember me will keep your login name and password written in the box but it won't however keep you logged in permanently. It just makes it easier to sign in.

works for me 5 days a week
I mostly on the forums when I'm at work and just open the window and it opens all my forums for me
but I am also using firefox so it could be just that.
