Pfff... All American. Pfff....
*struggles to remember*
I think my fave was a J&J Ceramic... but I really had no taste in barrels back then. Let's be honest.
When rocking a classic, the calgar likes the classic barrels... Dye Stainless, J&J brass or nickel-plated brass, BOA nickel-plated brass... An All-A works in a pinch, but the calgar does not like SP.
I'm with you Lo, the old SP AA's were great on mags - I preferred 14" myself.
Second to that would probably be the old glued boomy, also at 14".
Current markers: Not as many as teh Calgar
Still got mine... On my R/T from my old Farside Days
99-01
I've got a shorty (8" or 10") Dye stainless. Love it.

A slight aside... having broken out the almighty calipers to test the wide variance of bore sizes at the tip and tail of many ceramics/edge elite pieces, I'd have to say that their "tolerances" are suspect, at best. J&J's quality has really taken a nosedive in recent years.
