Yeah, we don't see alot of Space Drow where I play either. I have one Eldar (not sure if it's dark) on one of my bases being squished by a dreadnaught. Great use for them. Squishy Squishy!

It's great to find more 40k players though. What are your feelings about 6th edition rules?

Hahaha wow, I haven't thought about this game in a while. Yeah, I collected and painted a nice size army of Space Marines, but I never really played the game. Now I just play the computer games lol it's been at least 8 years since I pulled them out and looked at them...looks like I know what I'm gonna do for part of this long weekend!

I totally understand the appeal of the models and the stories around 40k, they are great! But I don't understand the appeal of the game... the mechanics just aren't fun anymore. I lost interest after 4th edition, and mechanics wise there are so many better games out there that rely less on random chance and more on skill. 40k is too much like Risk anymore... some basic meta-strategy with a ton of random thrown in. Speaking of which, anyone want to buy my 2000 pts or so of Chaos Daemons, Khorn focus I need to offload them at some point. Held on to them in case some friends wanted to play again, but we've all moved on to other games.

Also, clicking on any image will take you to my imageshack account, more images there.

Here is most of my Army. Not shown are additional 12 scouts with sniper rifles, 8 Heavy weapon marines, 1 Rhino, and some random figs. There is ALOT of customized models in there, and 90% of the models in my army were bought/traded for used.

I like the added clarifications on any misunderstandings on the 5th ed rules, and even some extra phases to simulate what a skirmish would be like in reality, but all the other stuff is plain out confusing! Plus, GW tries to rip us off. Their policy is "Put less stuff in the sets and raise prices, they'll still buy it!"

The 40k armies I've sold over the years (slide show): http://img811.imageshack.us/slidesho...6557419ga.smil

I find myself never playing the good guy in any game. I love playing the bad guys... not really sure why

    A few images from it:

Lol, thanks. GW models are easy sauce to paint luckily. Few colors, dry brush, wash, and they tend to look good.

So I just scored a 10 man squad (unassembled), they have roman style helmets and crests. What do you guys think, Sternguard? Colors ideas?

Maybe look through what were typical colors for various Roman Legions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_legion).

Have you guys looked at the new Tau? They look really good, but the prices are absolutely insane. $700+ to have a tournament ready army... that is silly. The new XV104 and XV88 would pay for a tournament ready Infinity group with plenty of options, a fully fleshed out crew in Malifaux, a fully useable Relic Knights team with options, and half an army for most historical games... Warmahordes is the only thing similar in price, but at least their $100 dollar models make up 33% of your force...

    Click for big pic

New figure I knocked together. He's a Master of the Forge Custom Character. 150pts, conversion beamer, and Jet (not jump) pack, which also gives him relentless. I'm thinking about also giving him Skyfire for those nasty fliers.
