I suppose that is a possibility, I've heard others say they've gotten water in there before, but I've never had any trouble with it. As long as its clean and you can see your target then roll with it!

Water is the best thing to use on a mask. That's all I use, including on the lens. I can wash my I4 lens off with water, wipe it down, good to go!
