Top is a contour. The bottom is a GoPro. The color is clearer and you don't have the stretching fish eye effect on the bottom.

I have my GoPro setup so to the front it adds absolutely no extra profile from the front or back. Only from the side does it add profile. Also, you're very wrong about the the quality being so close...

I used to run a condor one that has 6 built in mag pouches plus molle all across the front. You can get it with or without a hydration pouch in the back
